About the Story ... Our Story
Okay! So why did I decide to write this story? Well it first started out as being just an introduction, or partial story with a hangy ending. I then let one of my best friends read it and she couldn't stand the ending...so you can guess the rest! I had to continue it so her mind could be at ease. Below is what I originally wrote:
I had been waiting none too patiently for the day. I was psyched! My first jumping competition. It was only jumping two feet, but it was still exciting.
Everything seemed to start out well, but as we neared the end of the course, my horse, Midnights Starry Ashes, began acting uneasy. And then it happened. She spooked right before the highest, hardest jump on the course. I couldn't stop her and it was all over in a second.
As soon as her front feet hit the ground on the other side of the jump, something happened, and she went down, taking me and the jump set with her.
I heard shouts mingled with screams of horror and saw people running towards me, my two best friends in the lead.
I hurt all over. I could feel the sensation of something wet seeping over my face. Blood? I tried to move, to cry, anything to reassure myself that I was okay.
But my mind went dead and everything disappeared into a blanket of darkness, with an echo of wailing sirens whispering to my scared heart.
